Calling for volunteers for the Coolart Maintenance Team

Many areas within the Coolart Wetlands & Homestead are in urgent need of on-going maintenance and catch-up work.  This includes repairs to numerous out-buildings, outdoor furniture, the plant propagation and seed centre, pathways, steps and signage, and many other facilities in regular use by the public.

With the assistance of Parks Victoria, the Friends of Coolart would like to facilitate the restoration/upgrading of some historic buildings, such as the old brick store houses, former farm facilities and many items of infrastructure, to ensure their long-term survival and to maintain the property in good order for the benefit of our many visitors.

We invite volunteers to join us in this endeavour, calling for people with the usual skills and ability typically associated with home repairs.  The work will not be too strenuous or demanding, have height-limitations and safety restrictions, and be task-friendly.

Prior to commencement all volunteers will need to formally join Friends of Coolart and register with Parks Victoria, for insurance purposes.
