Cheryl & Margaret are continuing to create the display of their work and invite you to visit Two Hands One Nest, take some to time to wander, have a chat and perhaps a glass of wine on a day that suits you, when Coolart reopens on any Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday (11–3pm) until 26 October.

The work
Composed of approximately 500 handmade wool, cotton and silk forms, this work brings together fibres dyed in small batches using botanicals – primarily species of eucalyptus. The resulting palette reveals the subtle responses of each fibre, with a rich interplay of colour, shade and tone. Stitched individually onto silk with silk, the pod-like forms reflect an interest in sensitivity, slow process and the intimate labour of making by hand. They nestle together, inviting close looking and a sense of care held in every stitch.
To help protect the native wildlife and wetlands, dogs are not permitted at Coolart under Parks Victoria regulations. We appreciate your understanding.
